We actually had a very laid back last 2 days. Yes, you heard correctly, the Kohn's had a laid back last 2 days.
Friday we spent shopping and preparing for shabbat. We started out in Geula, where Yehuda got a new Talit, new Talit bag, and the boys got new tzizit. Then we proceeded to Emek Refaim to pick up shabbat food at the famed Marvad Ha'Kesamim and eat pizza at Pizza Sababa. Then it was off to the apartment to shower and get ready for shabbat. We took a cab to the Kotel and truly enjoyed Friday night davening. Benjamin fell asleep in the cab, woke up for a minute to kiss the Kotel and then fell back asleep again.
After seeing about half of Teaneck at the Kotel, we walked back to our apartment with Savta and Roy and Yehuda's friend, Lou from Chabad, who was joining us for dinner. Luckily Lou was there to help Yehuda schlep Benjamin in the stroller up about a million stairs. Of course, the second we got back to the apartment Benjamin woke up and was ready to go! After a delicious dinner, Benjamin was given a choice. He was told that he could either go to sleep or put us to sleep, play, and then put himself to sleep. He chose the latter. He sang Shema to us, tucked us in and went to go play with his trains. Somehow he wound up in his bed fast asleep, although I have no idea at what time.
Shabbat lunch we ate with Savta and Roy and Tzip and Dan and the kids at Savta's apartment. Then we came pack and hung out at our apartment and were joined by The Heins and the Epsteins (with Ari Goldberg). It was a fun afternoon.
After shabbat, Yehuda and I went out to the Waffle Bar down the street, did laundry, and packed for our next whirlwind trip to...Eilat. We're leaving at 7AM so Laila Tov....
More pictures to come tomorrow :)
